About this activity
Fit a paper band around your wrist and add a large star badge to make a costume cuff. Choose a kind superpower for the star, then act out a small adventure.
How to do this activity
- Print on A4 or Letter in portrait, using Fit to page with all four borders visible. Use light card if your printer supports it, coloring pencils, child scissors and a glue stick. An adult helps with cutting. Color before cutting; leave glue areas uncolored.
- Cut the two strips and the circular badge. Keep the star inside its circle.
- Use one strip or join two at a hatched end. With an adult, mark a loose fit around the wrist. Remove the band before trimming and gluing it into a ring.
- Glue the back of the badge to the outside of the band. Let it dry. The cuff should slide on and off easily; open the paper join if it does not.
Tips for parents and teachers
- The top row is a key, not a piece to assemble: thick outside lines are cut lines, dashed lines are folds and diagonal hatching marks glue. Thin lines inside the pieces are decorations. The page border is not part of the model.
